Esther was born at St George's Hospital, Kew, in Melbourne's leafy eastern suburbs, on 14 August 1989 — an early birthday present for Lynne, whose birthday is just five days later.

Esther studied art, fashion, music and drama at Swinburne Senior Secondary College, which specialises in the visual and performing arts. She plans a career in music theatre and has been studying music performance (singing) since she was 11 years. She has a beautiful soprano voice, classically trained.

In March 2011 she commenced a 3-year degree in classical voice at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in Perth, one of the finest performing arts schools in Australia — and one of the toughest to gain entry to, so we’re delighted that Esther was accepted. It’s a long time to have our youngest daughter so far away from us (2,750 km/1,705 miles), but we all have Skype video so it’s easy to stay in touch. She’s also living with close family friends, which is comforting to know.

Esther is also a professional model (photographic and runway).
